Diagnosed with asbestos related cancer is very confronting. I was lucky enough to be referred to Slater and Gordon and Sean Sweeney. The process to gain compensation was made relatively stress free for me and has been exceptional. I have been treated with honesty, integrity and the upmost respect. I contacted Slater and Gordon a few days after being diagnosed with Mesothelioma while still coming to terms with the fact that I had probably celebrated my last Christmas. Mesothelioma is caused by, and only by exposure to asbestos. I had never been employed in an occupation that had more than a small chance of exposure. Compensation seemed a difficult goal. Less than 24 hours after making contact, a specialist lawyer from Slater and Gordon arrived at my house to carry out an initial interview and to explain the process and possibilities of obtaining compensation. From that moment on I have been supported and encouraged to what is a satisfactory conclusion at no up front cost to myself. There can be no adequate compensation for living with a disease that will be fatal sooner rather than later but thanks in great measure to the team at Slater and Gordon neither my family or I will suffer financially. Now, thanks to the mental space for a positive attitude and modern medical science, my oncologist tells me I may have a Christmas or two left in me yet. My heartfelt thanks to the team at Slater and Gordon.
