I am a dual-qualified, Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and Solicitor of England and Wales.

I was born in England and read Law (with Honours) at university. I was selected during my final year to join a busy city firm, as a paralegal in the injuries team and qualified as a Solicitor in early 2006.

I remained with the firm and became Principal of one of their suburban offices before emigrating with my family to Australia in 2013.

I was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in early 2015 and soon after, joined a leading plaintiff injury firm as their senior medical negligence solicitor for Victoria. My large portfolio consisted of complex medical negligence cases for both adults and children.

I have a special interest in genetics and hereditary diseases and represented a high-profile family for a wrongful birth/wrongful life case. I was successful in securing a multi-million-dollar settlement against VCGS and RCH. This settlement was Victoria’s ‘first of its kind’ and was heavily reported in the media. This settlement became a catalyst for further claims of this nature and set the benchmark for ensuring that the youngest of clients would be cared for, for the rest of their lives.

I also spent time as a Knowledge Lawyer and Manager where I partnered with the principals and ELT to lead the national knowledge management function of the, then, largest plaintiff firm in Australia. I developed strategies and implemented systems as part of the Projects, Transformation, Technology and Digital teams. I was then headhunted as the Australian Knowledge Manager for a large global defendant firm where I built the knowledge function for Australia and managed regulatory compliance and best practice.

My passion for providing high quality client services, great empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, led me back to medical law, a few years later, where I continue to seek justice and compensation for the most vulnerable.
