As an experienced industrial and employment lawyer, I have the privilege of assisting my clients with both litigated and non-litigated industrial and employment related matters. I am deeply committed to advocating for trade unions and championing employee rights in the pursuit of justice.
My role at Slater and Gordon sees me supporting my clients by offering clear, practical, and empathetic advice. I take pride in being honest and straightforward with clients about their prospects of success.
I embrace challenging claims and am known for passionately advocating for each of my clients. I regularly appear, both as an advocate and an instructor, in contested hearings in various Australian courts and tribunals, with a focus on Fair Work Commission and Federal Court matters.
I co-led the establishment of Slater and Gordon’s dedicated sexual harassment practice. We recognised the significant barriers many survivors faced in accessing justice and developed a trauma-informed approach to support them through the legal process. As part of this initiative, we pioneered the offering of No Win No Fee arrangements in sexual harassment claims to improve access to legal representation.
Achievements
- Securing a favorable judgement for my client for outstanding wages payable by a foreign consulate in the Federal Court of Australia.
- Securing a substantial settlement for an employee involved in a prolonged and contentious sexual harassment case in the Federal Court of Australia.
In addition to my position at Slater and Gordon, I currently serve as a Committee Member of the Workplace Relations Committee at the Law Institute of Victoria and the Industrial Relations Society of Victoria. I am also pursuing a Master of Workplace and Employment Law.
