In 2017 I was in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in a traumatic amputation. During my stint in hospital I inquired many law firms and their cases in regard to common law and came across Susan Accary. After reading a few articles I knew Susan and the team at Slater and Gordon was where I’d put my confidence. At a time when traveling and talking about my accident was difficult Susan offered to meet in the comfort of my house, introduced herself and the intricacies of common law that I and my family were not familiar with at all. Since then Susan and her amazing team have consistently helped me through the many details of motor vehicle accident claims, accomodating for my busy schedule during rehabilitation as well as mental health, ensuring my best interest at all times. I can’t recommend or thank Susan Accary of Slater and Gordan enough, now that my case is settled and knowing that I have received the best outcomes because of her I can get on with my life without an regrets. Thank you so much Susan! Love Ted.
As a Practice Group Leader of Slater and Gordon’s Workers' Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident claims team, I am passionate about helping people whose lives have been impacted upon as a result of a transport accident or a workplace accident.
I help my clients achieve the best possible outcomes regarding their rights and entitlements. I advocate for this to be done in a short time frame, ensuring that litigation or the claims process does not hamper my clients’ lives, more so than they need to. I help my clients and their families navigate complex areas including medical disputes, income disputes, statutory interpretation disputes, Serious Injury Applications and Common Law negligence claims. I regularly instruct in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the County Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court and relevant Appellate jurisdictions.
