Sean is a Practice Leader in our Queensland and Northern Territory Dust and Occupational Diseases Department. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws.

Since his admission in 2016, Sean has represented hundreds of individuals suffering from compensable diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestosis, asbestos-related pleural disease (ARPD), lung cancer, silicosis, progressive massive fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD/emphysema), coal workers’ pneumoconiosis, auto-immune conditions, skin cancers, and other occupational diseases and cancers.

Recently, Sean and the Queensland department acted for the plaintiff in Kim Martin v Amaca Pty Ltd [2024] obtaining the first successful judgment for an asbestos-related disease victim in a Queensland court.

Sean received the 2025 Queensland Civil Justice Award from the Australian Lawyers Alliance for his compassion and commitment to individual rights and public safety. His dedication to his clients and the law has also been acknowledged by his peers in Doyle’s Guide and Best Lawyers.

Sean is fully committed to guiding his clients and their families through the compensation process with clear and practical advice.

I am privileged to work closely with my clients and hear their stories firsthand. I understand the devastating toll these conditions take on individuals and their families. I am proud to stand beside them, help them tell their story, ensure they are heard, and make the legal process as straightforward as possible.

In addition to his litigation practice, Sean has been a strong advocate for workers' rights in law reform efforts across both New South Wales and Queensland. He has also volunteered his time at community legal clinics to support access to justice.
