I am a personal injury lawyer who specialises in assisting clients who have sustained psychological injuries as a result childhood sexual abuse or who have developed dust related diseases through exposure at work.
I have experience in providing legal advice to clients and conducting face-paced litigation in numerous states and territories across Australia. I thrive on complex and challenging cases and have played a key role in many cases which have pioneered new areas of the law.
I chose a career in the law because of a passion for social justice and a desire to ensure that the most vulnerable members of our society have the advocacy and access to justice that they deserve. As a personal injury lawyer, all my clients have suffered an injustice and I take pride in making a positive in their lives by helping them to maximise their compensation entitlements.
Prior to joining Slater and Gordon, I have worked in roles that have enabled me to pursue my passions for social justice and advocating for those who need it most. I have worked as part of a large trade union and for a large plaintiff law firm assisting clients who had been injured at work or in a motor vehicle accident. I have also worked in politics as an electorate officer and ministerial adviser.
In my spare time I enjoy volunteering and doing my bit to help my local community. I have worked to prepare and deliver meals to the homeless, the elderly, the disabled and those living in social housing. I have worked as a counsellor for young people struggling with an eating disorder and I have worked as a volunteer solicitor assisting refugees and asylum seekers.
I often see clients when they are at the lowest point in their lives, and I understand that the decision to pursue legal compensation can be daunting. I am therefore passionate about helping to guide and support my clients through each step of the process.
