I started working at Slater and Gordon in 2018 as a junior legal assistant in the Medical Law department. With six years of experience in the medical law department as a legal assistant, I have had the ability to assist in a rewarding capacity.
In addition to my professional role at Slater and Gordon, I had dedicated several years volunteering at a community legal centre, advocating for those faced with various complex legal issues. My professional experience thus far has reinforced my commitment to helping others and has shaped my approach to client relationships.
As a lawyer, I wish to dedicate my passion to helping others navigate the intricacies of the legal system and advocating for individuals that our healthcare system has failed. My passion for seeking a career in law stems from my background and upbringing where I watched people face stirs of emotion such as fear and anxiety while encountering our justice system. My goal has always been to be a metaphorical bridge between people and the law, empowering them to understand their legal rights and reinstate their trust in Australia’s legal system.
Navigating the intricate field of medical law with clients to achieve their desired outcomes is a challenge I embrace with patience and a driving force. My view is that building strong relationships with clients is significant to ensuring they feel comfortable, supported, and well-informed throughout their legal process and time with Slater and Gordon. I consider it a privilege for me to have the opportunity to positively impact and improve the lives of those I am entrusted to assist.
