I have 15 years’ experience working in the Asbestos and Dust Diseases team in Western Australia. I work closely with senior lawyers across a wide range of matters, from initial enquiries through to the resolution of claims.
I work with clients diagnosed with mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer and silicosis. I assist with both common law damages claims and claims for statutory entitlements and am regularly involved in complex, multi defendant litigation, including dependency claims brought on behalf of family members of people who have died from dust diseases. My role includes gathering evidence, liaising with medical and liability experts and preparing key documents so that each case is thoroughly and carefully prepared.
I know that for many clients and their families, this may be the first time they have dealt with the legal system and that they are often facing very serious health issues. My approach is hands-on and highly responsive, with a focus on being approachable, calm and reassuring. I aim to make the process as clear and manageable as possible, while helping the legal team to progress claims efficiently and with sensitivity to each client’s situation.
