I’m a Senior Associate practising solely in Slater and Gordon’s New South Wales Asbestos team. I have a background in healthcare, as a senior intensive care nurse (degree graduate) with over 15 years of experience working in Australia and the UK. I have an understanding of health services and I gained many transferable skills which I have found to be invaluable when dealing with terminally ill clients and their families.
The injustice that everyday Australians have faced due to their exposure to asbestos motivates me to fight for them. I work closely with my clients and their families to navigate the difficulties of the legal system for just and fair outcomes.
I feel I have done my job well when I can minimise my clients’ stress throughout the legal process, put them at ease and support them towards a brighter future.
My combined nursing and cross jurisdictional legal training, offers a complete service to my clients. I look forward to helping those suffering with an asbestos related disease here in Australia, to obtain compensation and the support they require to cope with their illness.
Feedback from our clients
Slater and Gordon Lawyers went above and beyond to help our family through an extremely difficult time. Our family had a lot to deal with in a short period of time and Raelene Lingam and her team were kind, caring and patient as they guided us through the legal process. Raelene went to a great deal of trouble to ensure we understood every step, were put at ease and did not need to worry about the claim. Raelene and her team including Ashley Watson were professional, efficient, caring and respectful throughout our dealings with them especially in my fathers last days. Raelene would call often to keep us up to date or to find out how my mother and the family were coping. I would highly recommend Raelene Lingam and her team at Slater Gordon. Thank you so much Raelene for being so kind and for everything you did for our family.
