As a Military Lawyer with Slater & Gordon, I support Australian Defence Force Veterans with their Department of Veterans’ Affairs legal matters. Whilst I am based in South-East Queensland, the DVA scheme operates within the federal jurisdiction and I provide advice and recommendations to clients who are located across the entire country, as well as overseas.
Helping my clients achieve the best outcomes and standing up for their legal rights is my passion. Since 2007, I have been fortunate enough to work with Veterans whose life paths have been altered, sometimes irreparably, due to their Defence employment. I enjoy great personal satisfaction when I help my clients access their entitlements and understand the DVA process. My goal is to make a complex process simple, so my clients can focus on their wellbeing and the wellbeing of their families.
When I work with my clients, I take time out to understand their story, and their unique circumstances. I pride myself on providing expert legal advice with compassion and care. I acknowledge the complexities of the DVA system are daunting and stressful for my clients and I can strategically guide them through the complexity to optimise their outcomes.
