Before becoming a lawyer, I spent more than fifteen years working as a paramedic serving my community. Those years on the frontline taught me a great deal about people, their resilience, their fears, and the life-changing impact an unexpected injury can have. I saw firsthand how recovery is not just about physical healing, but also about navigating uncertainty, financial stress, and the emotional toll that often follows.
That experience is what led me to the law. I wanted to continue helping people, but from a different angle, by standing beside them through the often complex WorkCover and TAC processes, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and empowered at every step.
My medical background allows me to interpret reports and understand treatment pathways with clarity, but more importantly, it helps me communicate with clients in a way that’s grounded, realistic, and compassionate. I aim to simplify what can feel overwhelming and give clients the confidence to focus on what really matters, that being their recovery and their future.
At Slater and Gordon, I’m proud to be part of a team that shares my belief that law should be personal. Every client deserves to be treated with dignity, empathy, and honesty. For me, success isn’t measured just in outcomes, but in knowing my clients feel truly heard and cared for.
