My name is Koo Jyh Ang, and I’m a Singaporean. My family (me, my wife and my 13 years old son) were involved in a serious car accident in December 2017 while on a vacation in Australia, NSW. All of us ended up with serious injuries and were hospitalized in the Gold Coast Hospital for more than 1 month. We were lucky to have survived. However, the trauma not only caused permanent injuries to us, we’ve also suffered PTSD from the terrible accident. The medical bill was so huge and we have no one to turn to. We felt so helpless at that time. Fortunately, we contacted Slater and Gordon Lawyers (Wollongong NSW). The lawyers from Slater and Gordon, Phillip Bussoletti, and Emma Bussoletti contacted us immediately and render their help and advices. I would like to thank everyone who has helped us, Barrister Mr. Andrew Stone SC, the lawyers from Slater and Gordon, Phillip Bussoletti, Emma Bussoletti and Vanja Henderson. Especially, our lawyer, Emma Bussoletti. Emma is a professional and responsible lawyer. She is an empathetic and caring person who always encourages us to look on the bright side. She was constantly seeking solution to help us to get through our financial hardship. The case took almost 3 years to closes. During the entire time, Emma has followed through relentlessly every single detail and updated us promptly on every outcome. The only reason that our family survived and kept afloat throughout the 3 years was the help from Emma and her team. We cannot imagine how we can survive the hardship without the help from Emma. Now that the case is closed and we are slowly moving back to our normal life, we really want to thank Emma for everything she has done for us. Our family will remember Emma’s kindness for life. From the bottom of our heart, Emma Bussoletti, you are truly our guarding angel!Thank you Emma!
I am an Associate in the motor vehicle accident team at Slater and Gordon Lawyers. I have worked in this team since 2015.
In 2022 I was shortlisted as a finalist in the Australia-wide Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 awards.
I'm passionate, empathetic, and hard-working. I am dedicated to fighting for the rights of my clients. I always make time for my clients with an aim to take the stress away from the claims process and to provide them with clear advice each step of the way.
I am very fortunate to be able to say that I work with both of my parents Phillip and Lauretta Bussoletti, who are also lawyers and practice in Slater and Gordon's Wollongong office. I was always inspired by my parents work and started working with my parents at the age of 15 at Bussoletti Lawyers – my father's legal firm.
I started working with Slater and Gordon while completing my practical legal training with the College of Law. I was then offered a clerkship with the State Practice Group Leader of the motor vehicle accidents group in NSW and discovered my passion for this area of personal injury law. During this time, I was exposed to multiple claims involving catastrophically injured clients, significant damages and complex legal issues surrounding liability, jurisdiction and damages.
Once I was admitted as a lawyer, I was offered a graduate position with Special Counsel and chose to stay in the motor vehicle accidents group. I remain passionate about this area of law and committed to my clients. I am particularly interested in matters involving contributory negligence, infants and adolescents, brain injuries, spinal injuries and nervous shock claim.
