Daniella Murphy

I am proud to facilitate access to justice for our clients as a member of the Medical Law team at Slater and Gordon. Helping injured people navigate some of the most difficult times in their lives in a responsibility that motivates me and drives my work every day.

For much of my legal career, I worked representing hospitals and medical practitioners in medical malpractice cases. My experience has provided me with a solid foundation and deep understanding of how medical negligence claims are assessed and defended. Over time I felt a pull to do something different - to use my experience and insight for those who need a dedicated and compassionate advocate in their corner.

Alongside my law degree, I completed a degree in human biology, which assists greatly in understanding the nuances of complex medical negligence cases. I take the time to grasp the details, understand the issues, and build a case that gives my clients a fair chance at being heard.

Choosing to represent plaintiffs was the right choice for me, as it allows me to make a real difference for everyday people. I understand how overwhelming it can be to take legal action after a medical injury, however, I endeavour to make the legal process as clear and straightforward as possible, while working tirelessly to get the outcome my clients deserve.
