National law firm Slater and Gordon will throw open its doors to community, legal and government representatives this afternoon for the official opening of its new Townsville office.
Slater and Gordon announced its plans to move to Townsville earlier this year. The office will specialise in personal injury law and anticipates rapidly growing along with the ever-increasing Townsville population.
Local lawyer Brian Edmond, who is managing the Townsville office, said he was very positive about the future and the quality of service that the office would offer to new and existing clients.
“Many people know us for our class action work, but we also offer a range of other services including asbestos disease, workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident injury claims, military compensation claims, wills and estate litigation and industrial law ” Mr Edmond said.
“We are committed to always getting the best outcome for clients. We are hard working and believe in the value of a fair go.”
Mr Edmond has worked in personal injury law, including claims arising from work injuries, motor vehicle accidents since he was admitted in 1989.
Slater and Gordon, Managing Director, Andrew Grech said the new office was an important investment in the firm’s growth and future in Queensland.
“Slater and Gordon has been working tirelessly for Storm Financial investors in North Queensland, so it’s only natural that we open an office in the region,” Mr Grech said.
“Now we are closer at hand for our already-existing clients in Townsville and surrounding regions, but also for new clients who are looking for quality legal services and representation.”
Slater and Gordon - which already had offices in Brisbane, Southport and Ipswich - has also recently opened a visiting service in Cairns.
Plans for the new office, located at 11 Ross River Rd, Mundingburra, were announced earlier this year. It is the fourth Slater and Gordon office opened in Queensland. People can contact the local office on 07 4795 1800.
