Slater and Gordon has announced the promotion of Newcastle workers’ compensation Lawyer Mahen Manokarathas to Associate.
Throughout his career, Mr Manokarathas has shown true dedication to his clients, helping them access medical support, income assistance and compensation in order to get their lives back on track after shocking workplace accidents.
Mr Manokarathas was asked to move to the firm’s Newcastle office 18 months ago after achieving strong results in Sydney.
Slater and Gordon Practice Group Leader Doug Williams said since arriving in Newcastle, Mr Manokarathas had exhibited strong leadership skills, expanding the office’s workers’ compensation practice and strong results for clients.
Mr Williams said he had shown a great ability to simplify often complex matters for clients who had no experience with the legal process.
“Mahen’s dedication to his clients is often inspiring and regularly shows through in the outcomes he has delivered for them,” Mr Williams said.
Slater and Gordon General Manager Personal Injury NSW Rachael James said the law firm was extremely proud to have helped develop young lawyers, like Mr Manokarathas, who were passionate about supporting clients.
“It is great for Mahen to receive the recognition for the amazing work and the wonderful results he has achieved.” Ms James said.
Slater and Gordon CEO John Somerville said the law firm was focused on developing young and aspiring lawyers who were passionate about supporting and getting the best result for their clients.
“It fills the whole firm with pride to watch our lawyers develop and further their careers, driven by their passion to help those needing legal support,” Mr Somerville said.
A number of legal assistants and support team members have also been promoted.
