Slater and Gordon debuts fun social app to show support for Aussie athletes

As our athletic champions excel on the world stage, Australians back at home are being encouraged to get behind their sporting idols to help get them over the line.
Slater and Gordon has developed a social sharing app to allow social media users to customise a photo in support of our Olympic stars in Rio and let them know that we are backing them all the way.
Slater and Gordon Head of Marketing Kalle Amanatides said the app was a quick and easy way to show support with friends and family on social media.
“Australia has already got some remarkable runs on the board with several medals on the tally board,” Ms Amanatides said.
“While we may be nearly 19 hours away from the action, Facebook and Twitter users can get a message to Rio in just a few minutes.
“All you need to do is upload a photo, choose from a number of Olympic themed overlays, and then share your customised picture with your friends and contacts on social media.
“The hashtags to get your message to the athletes will automatically appear before you share your photo as well as an opportunity to personalise your support.
“Whether you choose a sweat band or a gold medal, there is no better way to show your Olympic spirit than by painting social media in green and gold."
“Let’s get behind the Australian athletes to let them know we are with them every step of the way.”
Slater and Gordon senior executive Hayden Stephens said in partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee that the law firm was excited about the opportunity to contribute to Australia’s Olympic efforts.
“We are a proud Australian company and are proud to support all of the Australian athletes competing on the world stage,” Mr Stephens said.
“We believe everyone deserves a fair go and is entitled to fair play - values that sit at the heart of the Olympic movement.”
Slater and Gordon is the Official Law Firm of the Australian Olympic Team. The partnership is the first of its kind between a law firm and the AOC, and will continue until the end of 2020.
