Background
The investigation is examining whether Uber’s systems, policies and practices adequately protected the safety of women passengers from sexually inappropriate conduct by drivers, and whether Uber responded appropriately when complaints involving alleged driver sexual misconduct, including sexual assault and sexual harassment, were reported.
The investigation will consider Uber’s driver screening and monitoring, safety training, handling of complaints and platform safety features.

A class action (also called a group proceeding) is a court case where one person (the representative plaintiff) brings a claim on behalf of a larger group of people whose claims arise out of the same or similar events.
It allows those claims to be decided together in a way that is more efficient and cost‑effective for group members and for the Court.
Slater and Gordon is committed to opening up access to justice. There is no fee or cost to register your interest in a class action investigation. If a class action is eventually brought, our class action will be brought in a way which means that you will not be exposed to any fees or financial risk.
