More information about the NSW Unlawful Strip Searches Investigation is contained here.

We suggest you read both links in the previous question for information about the class action and investigations. If you are still unsure if any of these apply to you, please send us an email to stripsearch@slatergordon.com.au.

If you were strip searched multiple times, we encourage you to register each strip search with the applicable investigation and / or current Festival Strip Searches Class Action.

A strip search may include any kind of search that is more invasive than a general, pat down search over the outside of your clothes. For example, it may include if:

  • You were asked to remove some or all of your clothing, other than a coat or jacket or similar outer clothing, or gloves, shoes, socks or hat; or
  • Police officers looked under your clothing at your body or put their hands under or touched underneath your clothing.

We will provide you with updates on the progress of each matter and any potential claim for compensation that may be available to those affected.

By registering, your name will not appear on any Court documents or be provided to NSW Police or their lawyers, unless required by an order of the Court. If you are not sure whether you are a group member, or otherwise have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our team.
