I am proud to work as a lawyer with Slater and Gordon’s Motor Vehicle Accident group, helping my clients get access to their full entitlements.
Having started my career has a registered nurse in the neurosurgical ward of Townsville Hospital and witnessing firsthand the effects of road trauma, I developed a deep understanding of the impacts of motor vehicle accidents. My desire to help people beyond their discharge from hospital and rehabilitation was what inspired me to become a lawyer.
I’m passionate about making sure you fully understand every stage of your claim, and I pride myself on being approachable and accessible whenever you need advice or support.
It is not always the highest value settlements that give me the greatest sense of achievement. Often it’s the fight for acceptance of a claim for those who need it most—helping someone for as long as necessary to make sure they get the support they need.
For instance, we fought an insurer for nearly two years to have them accept a client’s injury. She’d been on the public list for more than 18 months for her required surgery. The insurer’s acceptance of our client’s injury meant she could undergo surgery immediately and as a private patient. It also paved the way for settlement of her common law claim for damages.
