In his role as a lawyer in Slater and Gordon’s Class Actions team, Sam works on class actions and large-scale claims affecting large groups of people, typically relating to personal injuries and financial losses.
Since beginning his legal career in 2015, Sam has gained valuable experience working on a number of notable cases, including the Manus Island class action. The outcome in this case, in September 2017, marked the largest human rights settlement in Australian legal history.
Sam now practises predominately in commercial class actions, having been involved in complex litigation on behalf of thousands of debenture holders, in proceedings against Provident Capital (settled in 2018 for $28.5 million).
Sam also has considerable experience in the field of superannuation class actions, having acted on behalf of individuals who suffered loss because of poor financial advice, as well as working on Slater and Gordon’s ‘Get Your Super Back’ campaign.
