My career in law started approximately 20 years ago where I volunteered to do work experience to try and “get my foot in the door”. My first taste of working in the industry was in personal injury litigation. Keen to broaden my experience, I tried my hand at other areas of law, but quickly realised that personal injury litigation was my passion. While raising a young family I worked part-time and commenced my law degree with the view to pursing my career in this field. I was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2016.
I love the field of personal injury litigation because I feel like I am giving to my clients and not taking. I see first-hand the real impact that accidents and subsequent injuries have on people’s lives and l feel rewarded in assisting clients understand, navigate and not fear the legal process involved in obtaining compensation for their injuries.
I think it’s important for clients to be able to pick up the phone and talk to me at any time with questions they might have. I also think it’s important to keep clients informed about the progress of their claim.
