As a lawyer in Slater and Gordon's public liability team, I advocate for clients who have suffered significant injuries where another party has been at fault. I am extremely passionate about my work because I see the impact that I can have on the lives of people living with life-altering injuries. My motivation comes from my ability to obtain compensation and bring security to the lives of people who are grappling with loss.
I am experienced working on claims involving:
- Psychiatric injuries;
- School bullying;
- Abuse and sexual assault;
- Councils and supermarkets;
- Slips and trips;
- Private and rental premises;
- Recreational sports;
- Dog attacks;
- Police and detention.
I work thoroughly and carefully for each of my clients to build a strong case in order to maximise compensation entitlements. Meanwhile, I ensure that my clients receive detailed advice and feel comfortable being guided through the legal process. No client of mine will receive ‘legal jargon’. I communicate clearly and encourage questions along the way.
Prior to working at Slater and Gordon, I commenced my legal career advising insurers on personal injury and institutional abuse claims. I developed high-level technical and analytical skill through this work, having been involved in complex multi-defendant proceedings involving complicated injuries. This experience benefits my clients today, because I understand the sorts of arguments that insurers use to defend and minimise compensation.
Since working at Slater and Gordon, one of my proudest achievements has been assisting our team to secure compensation in excess of $1M for a young man who suffered catastrophic injuries after a devastating sporting accident.
