Seeing the injustices in the world, particularly those suffered by the average working-class person, the under privileged and those most vulnerable in our communities, together with a genuine interest in a variety of practice areas in law has lead to me working
I have practised as a lawyer since being admitted in 2015, however have been involved in the industry at various levels for the past 35 years, since 1986. My various roles have ranged in positions from practising lawyer, autonomous cost assessing/consultancy, QAS Auditor, paralegal, executive assistant, personal assistant, senior secretarial to basic support roles at the beginning of my career.
I have had a period of approximately six months where I accepted a role and entered the “dark side” undertaking work in the defendant personal injury sphere. I feel this was beneficial from a career perspective as it gave me an insight into the mindset of how an insurer and their legal representatives generally approached a personal injury claim.
I have a strong work ethic and strong technical skills coupled with a flexible approach, understanding and a strong sense of empathy towards my clients which allows me to build professional and connected relationships with clients to support them throughout their legal journey.
