I enjoy being able to make a real difference to the lives of my clients.
I am an Associate lawyer with Slater and Gordon based in the Brisbane office.
In the past I have worked on complex and intricate medical negligence claims. I have more than 15 years’ experience in law.
It is a great day at work when I can help my client navigate a challenging area of law and deliver a successful outcome.
I studied law at Durham University in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2000. Following graduation, I worked with homeless youths in a hostel before being admitted as a solicitor. I registered as a solicitor in Australia in 2014, after completing a conversion course at a local university. I am very happy to say I am now an Australian citizen.
Prior to coming to Australia, I accumulated legal expertise in several British law firms. Initially working for a small legal firm on the south coast of England, I moved to one of the largest plaintiff law firms in the UK where I gained considerable experience in legal claims.
I thrive on the complexity of my clients’ matters, and value the opportunity to make a difference in my clients' lives. I understand that for most people the events and aftermath of a life changing incident can be very traumatic. Every day I bring compassion, empathy and sincerity to the interactions with my clients, always focused on delivering a positive outcome.
I am active in my local school community, working as a volunteer with school excursions, fetes and stalls and managing the school soccer team.
