My practise includes claims against an array of organisations, including the Victorian and interstate governments, including the Department of Education and Victoria Police, private schools, religious groups including the Catholic Church, Christian Brothers and Salvation Army, Scouts Victoria and sporting groups.
Whilst I exclusively practise in the area of Abuse Law nowadays, I have practised across all areas of Personal Injuries including Worker’s Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Public Liability claims, which enables me to provide tailored advice to my clients who have more than one legal claim at a given time.
The story for every survivor of abuse is different, but often the hardest step in bringing a civil claim is making the initial enquiry. I encourage every survivor of abuse, and their friends and family, to let Slater and Gordon know how best we can support you; whether it be meetings in person or providing instructions by email/letter instead, linking you in with our dedicated Social Work Service, or whatever it takes to make you comfortable throughout the life of your claim.
I provide an empathetic and professional approach to all of my clients, some who have never shared their experience of trauma and abuse with anyone before. My goal is to empower every survivor of abuse to understand what your entitlements may be, options for achieving them, and then support you every step of the way.
