I began my career in 2009, working in asbestos litigation with clients suffering from asbestos disease. As an associate with Slater and Gordon’s Toowoomba branch, I now work across a number of personal injury law areas such as workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accidents and public liability claims.
The chance to stand up for people who aren’t able to stand up for themselves is what drew me to a career in personal injury law. I get a great deal of satisfaction from helping my clients get access to justice and ensuring they know what they are entitled to, every step of the way.
When people come to me, they generally have more questions than answers and are anxious about what lies ahead. I give my clients reliable and practical advice so they can be confident they have all the information they need.
I once worked with an elderly client with terrible lung disease. The defendant made a less than reasonable offer of settlement, thinking that my client would just accept it to avoid a trial. My team was ready—we went to trial and my client got significantly higher compensation than the settlement offer.
