Andrew joined Slater and Gordon in 1994 and has been the lead architect of Slater and Gordon’s modern existence and purpose.

He is driven by a desire to make legal services more accessible and affordable, whilst ensuring that Slater and Gordon stays ahead of changes in the legal industry and evolving client expectations.

Growth and diversification have been the major hallmarks of his leadership at Slater and Gordon.

Andrew worked in most of Slater and Gordon’s litigation practice areas, working across both high profile class actions and individual compensation claims.

His early business achievements include overseeing the incorporation of the law firm in 2001, followed by the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2007.

It was under his leadership that Slater and Gordon grew to become Australia’s leading national consumer law firm.

In 2012, Andrew lead expansion of the Group into the United Kingdom with the initial acquisition of Russell Jones & Walker.

He has since led the consolidation of legal services in the UK market, with the addition of Slater Gordon Solutions in 2015.  The Slater and Gordon Group is now the largest provider of personal legal services in the UK, with over 4,000 staff across, England, Scotland and Wales.

Under his leadership, Slater and Gordon has successfully acquired 40 law firms, including seven in the UK and diversified its range of legal services to areas outside personal injury law, such as family law, conveyancing and employment law.

Andrew’s contribution to the legal industry has been recognised with awards such as the Lawyers Weekly Managing Partner of the Year Award in 2011 and the American Lawyers Magazine’s Innovators Award in 2013. In 2015, he co-authored the paper, “Should Non-Lawyer Ownership of Law Firms be Endorsed and Encouraged?” at the benefits that alternative business structures have brought to the legal professional as well as the future challenges.
