Wangaratta lawyer Tim Jackson will join the North East Law Association of the Law Institute of Victoria as a Young Lawyer Representative.
Mr Jackson, 25, was born and raised in Wangaratta and moved back to the town in July, after studying and working in Melbourne.
The Slater and Gordon lawyer said he was looking forward to being part of the North East Law Association, following his election on Friday.
“The North East Law Association plays a vital role in the region in connecting and supporting local lawyers,” Mr Jackson said.
“I was lucky enough to receive a lot of training and assistance in Melbourne and I think it’s really important that local lawyers, especially those starting their careers, are well supported too.”
The North East Law Association holds regular meetings across the region, provides training and support to lawyers and organises and run various activities.
Mr Jackson specialises in compensation claims.
