National law firm Slater and Gordon will open a new office in Liverpool next week (Monday 13 September 2010) as it moves to provide families and business in Greater Western Sydney with the services of one of Australia’s most respected and experienced law firms close to their homes.
The new office, at 185 Northumberland St Liverpool, will be headed by experienced local lawyer, Mr Michael Lawandi who has worked in the region for more than 10 years.
Mr Lawandi said the diversity and expansion of Greater Western Sydney makes it one of the most exciting places anywhere in Australia.
“And with this new office, families and businesses in GWS will have access to the professionalism and experience of one of Australia’s most respected law firms in their own backyard,” Mr Lawandi said.
“For 75 years Slater and Gordon has been winning maximum compensation for our clients.
“And now, with an office in Liverpool as well as our Parramatta office, people in Western Sydney have access to local affordable, expert legal advice to maximise their compensation.”
The new Liverpool office will offer a range of legal services covering specialised areas of motor vehicle claims and workers compensation.
The Liverpool office will work closely with Slater and Gordon’s Parramatta office which will deal with conveyancing, wills and estates issues.
Mr Lawandi said he was proud to be able to represent people who often have little understanding of the law but find themselves caught up in dire situations well beyond their control.
“Securing the best possible result and maximising payouts for people catastrophically injured in motor vehicle accident ensures their financial future and that they are properly taken care of.
“With a population of more than 1.85 million, Greater Western Sydney is growing faster than both Sydney and the rest of NSW.
“My team and I are looking forward to the many legal challenges we will face over the coming years and look forward to building strong and lasting relationships with the local community,” Mr Lawandi said.
Slater and Gordon, General Manager (New South Wales), Hayden Stephens, said the Liverpool office was an important investment in the firm’s growth and future in New South Wales.
“It means that residents are going to be able to get high quality and affordable legal services locally and be connected to a national network with significant resources and expertise,” Mr Stephens said.
Today’s announcement follows the acquisition of Rod Powe Lawyers in Maitland, NSW, last month. It brings the total number of Slater and Gordon offices to 37. The firm also has several visiting offices.
