Slater and Gordon is once again a proud corporate sponsor of the Chinese New Year festival to be held in Sydney later this month.

General Manager for Slater and Gordon’s Greater Western Sydney offices Rachael James said it was the third year Slater and Gordon were sponsoring the event and the first time the firm had a team competing in the Dragon Boat Race.

“For three years in a row, we have been a proud partner of the largest Lunar New Year Celebration outside Asia,” Ms James said.

“What’s even more exciting about our involvement this year is the 20 brave souls from the firm who are competing as a team in the Dragon Boat event.

“They have been training hard, so I’ll be making sure our staff are down at finish line to cheer them on.

“I’m also very much looking forward to seeing all the other events, exhibitions and entertainment the festival has to offer.”

Ms James said the sponsorship reinforced the firm’s commitment to helping families from culturally diverse backgrounds.

“We have a longstanding history of working with culturally diverse families and providing them with legal services,” Ms James said.

“Our staff speak over 30 languages and we also provide a Multilingual Legal Helpline to ensure our clients from culturally-diverse backgrounds are able to access legal information in their language.

“Specifically, Slater and Gordon has been helping many people from Chinese backgrounds and have dedicated Mandarin and Cantonese speaking lawyers and consultants to further support the Chinese community.”
