Slater and Gordon has announced senior promotions across its New South Wales offices.

NSW Lawyer Jessica Mackenzie has been promoted to Principal Lawyer, while Josh McKay – who runs Slater and Gordon’s Lismore office – has been promoted to Senior Associate.

Ms Mackenzie joined the Slater and Gordon Sydney team in 2013 and was promoted to Associate in 2014 and Senior Associate the following year. She became an Accredited Specialist in 2014.

Mr McKay joined Slater and Gordon in 2013 as a lawyer within the firm’s Dubbo team, before relocating to Tamworth the following year.

In January 2016, he set up the firm’s Lismore office while also receiving his specialist accreditation in November that same year. Mr McKay has also managed to achieve success in Lismore, despite having to temporarily relocate the office following this year’s horrendous floods.

David Allen, Tom Mithieux, Erin Sellars and Zorana Spasojevic have been promoted to Associate.

Slater and Gordon’s Rachael James said the law firm was focused on developing young lawyers, who were passionate about supporting clients across the country.

Ms James said many of the lawyers announced in new roles had worked their way up through the firm, which focuses on ensuring clients receive the best possible support.

“Congratulations to all of those who have been promoted to new positions,” Ms James said.

“This group of lawyers has worked hard and shown commitment to the important work they carry out every single day.”
