Slater and Gordon lawyers have filed a class action in the Federal Court on behalf of shareholders of Sigma Pharmaceuticals.
Slater and Gordon lawyer Ben Phi said that the claim alleged that Sigma Pharmaceuticals engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct, and had breached its continuous disclosure obligations.
He said the class action covered investors who purchased shares between 7 September 2009 and 25 February 2010 and who had executed litigation funding agreements with Comprehensive Legal Funding LLC prior to the commencement of proceedings.
The claim was lodged in the Federal Court of Australia Victoria District Registry on October 29.
