Slater and Gordon’s Townsville office and Cairns visiting service will remain closed until further notice, following cyclone Yasi’s passage through north Queensland last night.
Slater and Gordon managing director Andrew Grech said the law firm had been in contact with all staff in north Queensland and he was pleased to report that they were all safe.
He said the firm’s Townsville office and the Cairns visiting service would remain closed until further notice.
“There is still no power in these offices and we still yet to assess if there has been any damage to the buildings,” he said.
“But thankfully our staff are safe, and as good as can be under the circumstances.”
Mr Grech said the firm’s Brisbane office would continue to field any calls from north Queensland.
“Our thoughts are with our staff and our clients in north Queensland as they look to recover from the devastation and destruction that cyclone Yasi has unleashed.”
