Seasonal Clerkships 
Seasonal Clerkships represent an exciting opportunity to experience firsthand what it is like to work at Slater & Gordon.
We offer Summer Clerkships for a period of four weeks in either November/December or January/February to students in their penultimate year of study.
Each year we recruit approximately 10 Summer Clerks to work in various Victorian offices. As a Summer Clerk, you will be allocated to a combination of our firm’s practice areas. During your time with the firm you will be exposed to a wide range of experiences such as preparing court documentation, meeting with clients, attending court & mediations/conciliations and drafting correspondence. In addition, you will work alongside our talented team of legal practitioners and develop a range of new skills.
What we look for in a Summer Clerk
We look for the following attributes and qualities in our applicants:
- Knowledge and interest in the practice areas within the firm
- A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Consistent and excellent academic achievements in law, law/medicine, law/social sciences

Applications for Summer Clerkships 2007/08 will be accepted from March 2007 and close on Thursday 5 April 2007. We abide by the Law Institute of Victoria guidelines for Seasonal Clerk recruitment.

Once a shortlist for interviews has been finalised we will contact you by telephone before 23 April 2007. Interviews will commence on 23 April 2007. The Human Resources Group will conduct the necessary reference checks and offers will be made to the successful candidates on 14 May 2007.
