Seasonal Clerkships represent an exciting opportunity to experience firsthand what it is like to work at Slater & Gordon. There is no better way to find out about the culture and type of work, then to jump in and get your hands dirty!
We offer Seasonal Clerkships for a period of four weeks in November/December & January/February to students in their penultimate year of study.
Each year we recruit approximately 10 Summer Clerks to work in various Victorian offices. As a Summer Clerk, you will be allocated to a combination of our firm’s practice areas. During your time with the firm you will be exposed to a wide range of experiences such as preparing court documentation, meeting with clients, attending court & mediations/conciliations and drafting correspondence. In addition, you will work alongside our talented team of legal practitioners and develop a range of new skills.

Summer Clerkships at Slater & Gordon offer graduates with an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading mid-tier national law firm. It’s also a great chance to experience our culture first-hand and to meet and work with some of Australia’s finest lawyers.
During your time with the firm you will be exposed to a wide range of experiences such as preparing court documentation, meeting with clients, attending court & mediations/conciliations and drafting correspondence. In addition, you will work alongside our talented team of legal practitioners and develop a range of new skills.
The Summer Clerkship program will run for a period of 8 weeks, starting on 30 November 2010 –19 February 2011. In order for you to enjoy the Christmas festivities with your families and friends, there will be a short break from 24 December 2010 – 15 January 2011.
The program will be run across a variety of NSW offices’, including Sydney, Parramatta, Coffs Harbour and Newcastle. The structure of the program varies slightly from office to office.
