Stephen McNamee has a particular interest in providing quality comprehensive legal support to small to medium size enterprises.
He can assist with commercial advice and documentation across a broad range of areas, as well as dispute resolution either informally through mediation, or formally through the court process.
Stephen brings a broad range of experience to his role at Slater& Gordon having worked in several industries before commencing in legal practice.
With Stephen's engineering background, he has a particular interest in technology law and this extends to intellectual property matters particularly aspects of technology law. Stephen worked with a firm of patent attorneys for several years and during that time gained invaluable experience in patent, trademark registered design law and practice.
Having also worked with a property developer for a number of years, he has a particular interest in property development including land subdivisions and residential developments and (commercial aspects - drafting documents etc) and in dispute resolution.
Since joining Slater and Gordon Stephen’s primary focus has been on dispute resolution and he can assist in all aspects of this work at all levels including Local, District and Supreme Court matters and of course, securing settlement through mediation.

- Trade practices (consumer protection) and competition law matters
- Passing off and injurious falsehood.
- Aspects of Corporations law and compliance therewith
- Personal bankruptcy and corporate insolvency (administration and liquidation)
- Franchise and agency matters.
- Intellectual property matters including copyright, trademarks, patents and registered designs, and licensing.
