Asbestos

Luisa Dropulich approaches her legal practice in asbestos knowing that the
“fight isn’t easy, the opponents are strong and the clients sorely need someone prepared to roll up their sleeves, work hard and persevere for a small bit of justice”.

Her clients are typically dying of a terminal asbestos-related disease, or their milies or dependants. Getting them a fair result is the focus of her work and, by her own admission, “dogged perseverance,” one of her greatest strengths.

As a junior lawyer, when she first saw the physical consequences of mesothelioma in Wittenoom workers and the financial hardship heaped on victims’ families already coping with the emotional burden of their loss, Luisa felt she had little choice but to get involved and do what she could. Luisa obtained her legal degree at the University of Western Australia in 1984 and has been working at Slater & Gordon since 1986.

“Whilst I’ve been at Slater & Gordon, I’ve learnt from fearless litigators and witnessed first hand how a group of individuals, passionate about getting a result have turned the tide for those suffering from asbestos related diseases”.
