Working with Councils and individual clients has given Roger Batrouney a balanced perspective of Local Government and Town Planning issues. Environmental issues have now become an important part of many commercial transactions.
Having experience in litigation, leases, business transactions and administrative law enables Roger to bring these skills to bear in solving clients' problems in a timely and cost effective manner. His 40 years of experience is valuable in delivering sound advice to clients.
Roger enjoys a collaborative approach with his clients and has been involved in document development and training with them over many years. He regularly provides advice and representation in relation to the Local Government Act, the Planning & Environment Act, the Environment Protection Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Land Acquisition & Compensation Act.
Roger practiced with Secombs and joined Slater & Gordon in 2008. He has had a substantial involvement in the Law Institute of Victoria as a former Council member, as a member and former Chair of the Specialisation Board, and an Honorary Life Member.
