Dina Tutungi is dedicated to pursuing maximum entitlements and compensation from the TAC, insurance bodies and superannuation funds on behalf of her clients impacted by personal injury.
Since joining Slater & Gordon, Dina has managed a number of landmark litigation projects, including the High Court litigation against multiple airlines on behalf of more than 500 people who suffered deep vein thrombosis (DVT). In 2003, Dina co-ordinated the successful resolution of more than 200 claims on behalf of people who contracted Hepatitis A from contaminated oysters from Lake Wallis in northern NSW. In 2005, she began Australia’s first wrongful death in detention claim against the Commonwealth of Australia and the operator of an immigration detention facility on behalf of a grieving Tongan family.
In 2006, Dina established the Slater & Gordon office in Ringwood. She also runs the national Superannuation and Disability Insurance practice group
