
Cath Evans has worked as a personal injury lawyer for most of her career. In her current role as the General Manager for Corporate Development and Operations, she is responsible for the management of various aspects of the Slater & Gordon business.
Her aim has always been to develop the skills of Slater & Gordon lawyers to be true experts in their field. She is responsible for putting systems in place that enable lawyers to achieve settlements for their clients in the shortest possible time, keep clients regularly informed of the status of their matters and contain legal costs for clients.
‘I have dedicated myself to meeting these objectives over many years, although my work is never done,’ says Cath. ‘I continue to look for new and innovative ways to improve the services at Slater & Gordon.’
Having been a personal injury lawyer for most of her career, Cath strives to always get the best for her clients. She derives great reward from assisting people obtain financial security when their lives have changed significantly through injury.
‘I continue to be amazed at people’s endeavour and determination to move forward with their lives and remain positive, many of whom must overcome significant disability and hardship. Being able to help them through this journey is truly motivational.’
Throughout her career Cath’s strength as a lawyer has been her direct and outcome-driven approach, and her unwavering commitment to the interests of her clients as a priority above all else. Her pursuit in helping people from all walks of life can be traced back to her time working in the health sector as a nurse. She recruits and trains lawyers who share her vision.
